What is Audiopoli?

Audiopoli is an association of hi-fi enthusiasts based in Otaniemi. We support students' hi-fi and home cinema hobby and organise all kinds of events and projects together, from movie nights and excursions to our hugely popular speaker-building projects.

Our members range from people dreaming of their very first home cinema to seasoned professionals. Enthusiasm for sound and picture is the only thing membership asks of you!

Movie nights

Audiopoli hosts movie nights at Kinopoli on Wednesdays, completely free for members. The programme is published on Telegram, and we're happy to take requests through the form below. Audiopoli provides a €30 budget for snacks and refreshments. If you wish to host an Audiopoli movie night yourself, ask in the Telegram group for details and instructions. You may organize movie nights on other weekdays, too.

Speaker-building projects

Projects organised by Audiopoli in which members get to build high-quality loudspeakers on a student budget. New projects and the chance to join them are announced on the association's Telegram channel.

Audiopoli R&D

Would you like to design Audiopoli's next speaker-building project? Or build an entirely new kind of audio device? Audiopoli can offer you the advice of a hobbyist community, tools to work with, and financial support for buying components. Come and present your idea at the next board meeting, or send a message in the Telegram group!

Administration

The association's affairs are run by the board, which meets roughly once a month. Board meetings are open to members and are announced on the association's Telegram channel. At the election meeting held each autumn, the following year's board is chosen along with dozens of officials who organise and develop the association's activities.

If you wish to be involved in organizing our activities or even participate in the planning of your favorite event, you don't have to wait! Audiopoli is happy to take on new volunteer organizers, so feel free to contact any board member or express your interest in a movie night to get involved in creating activities for the association.
